There is a similar program to Nodal on the market. It is called Midinous. The developer seems to have implemented nearly every key aspect of Nodal. It is a node based nonlinear grid sequencer where each node has independently definable properties, pitch, velocity, scale assignment, MIDI channel assignment, etc. It is less elegant than Nodal, and falls short in several key areas (in my opinion).
Midinous is being distributed through the STEAM gaming platform, and seems to be a one-man team. It's inexpensive and seems stable on my Mac Studio running Ventura.
It seems so close to Nodal that I'm wondering if it is a collaborative effort, or at least "blessed" by SensiLab.
