Midi Triggering issue

Hi, All. I have been trying to use midi triggering and for some reason it won't work. I know my controller is communicating with Nodal as it inputs note and velocity date when I touch a key, however when I set up the triggering and touch the approriate key nothing happens. Triggering is toggled on. Also, being a noob and not so smart can someone please define "MSB" and "LSB" for me?
