The NOC Project team proudly presents the NOC 0.2.2 RELEASE.
0.2.3 release introduces new event correlation daemon, config file
syntax highlighting, new DNS provisioning scripts
noc-correlator daemon is next major step in NOC Fault Management
development. New set of rules named "Correlation Rules" are
introduced. Correlation rules can define dependencies between events
and actions to perform. Common example is to automatically close
interleaving events (like Link Up/Link down) and to hold active only
last one. More complex example is to determine a "Root Cause" of the
fault, attaching all consequences as child events, hidind them from
top level.
Configuration Management can perform config file syntax highlighting
to improve readability of long configs.
DNS Provisioning scheme is finally documented and all necessary
scripts are merged to the main distribution.
