to SF Bay Peak Oil Group, nocalpcn

Matt Mushalik, a German born Australian engeneer, sent this to DEUTSCHE WELLE (DW), the German international broadcaster. He found indications that Russia's gas production right now is peaking, and he asks for "Konsequenzen für Verkehrsplanung" - consequences for traffic planning.

Best regards,

Everyone knows the conflict in Ukraine is about gas. But it is about
PEAK gas (In West Siberia).

This World Bank Report (by PFC Energy) already warned in 2007 that gas
via the UGTS (= Ukraine Gas Transmission System) was peaking

In 2009, a geological report

INTEGRATED SOLUTIONS FOR EFFECTIVE DEVELOPMENT AND EXPLOITATION OF
URENGOY OIL, GAS, CONDENSATE FIELD

by Grigory Lanchakov to the International Gas Union

reads: “Currently, for the Cenomanian and Valanginian horizons of
Urengoy field, which are at a late stage of development, the time of
«easy gas» is over.”

Graph shows that 69% of Cenomanian gas is gone

Since then, total FSU and Russian gas production remained on a bumpy
plateau (simple graph)

Russia expects decline of oil export revenue in 2016

7/7/2014
MOSCOW, July 07. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian finance ministry predicts a 156.4
billion roubles ($4.5 billion) decline in 2016 oil export revenue from
the earlier figure stipulated in the federal budget law for 2014 and the
planned period 2015 and 2016, says the Ministry’s draft federal budget
for 2015-2017. http://en.itar-tass.com/economy/739324

As energy wars will spread all over the world when will governments stop
planning oil dependent infrastructure like motorways and airport
extensions? When will they make the necessary STRATEGIC decisions to
upgrade and electrify rail lines between cities to replace
doomed airlines?
