Dear Nobim members,
I am glad to tell you that we now have an open PhD position available at NTNU in Gjøvik, where we are seeking candidates with experience in machine learning and image analysis, and if we're really lucky we hope to find someone who has also already worked with old manuscripts.
The position is affiliated with the Department of Information Security and Communication Technology (https://www.ntnu.no/iik), in close collaboration with the Norwegian Colour and Visual Computing Laboratory (http://www.colourlab.no); supervised by Associate Professors Sule Yildirim Yayligan (https://www.ntnu.no/ansatte/sule.yildirim) and Sony George (https://www.ntnu.no/ansatte/sony.george), and funded through the exciting FRIPRO Toppforsk project The Lying Pen of Scribes: Manuscript Forgeries, Digital Imaging, and Critical Provenance Research (https://lyingpen.uia.no/)
