Great News— Aug. 10– BBQ at the Griders

Dave and Cindy have offered to host us at their place for a BBQ, Sunday August 10 so mark your calendars. Details regarding times and food needs will be forthcoming, probably directly from Dave

As a first step we need a headcount so please RSVP. This is extremely gracious of the Giders and I propose that we begin considering a fundraiser to finance the monument that they deserve.

Also, having been hosting a lot this summer, I know it gets expensive. How about we each contribute $10.00 a person to the Grider's to help defray the cost of our ravenous appetites? It's still cheaper than going out. Just a thought.

In talking to a few people it seems that September is a better month. We were really hoping to make it rain by scheduling in August but rain in September is also good. 

The new schedule is September 7, 2025 at 11:00 am. RSVP toward the end of August or first few days of Sept. Don’t hesitate to bring a friend or come even if you have not been around for a while. There might be fresh zucchini if the squirrels let it alone.

As we establish who is coming, we can work out potluck contributions. Cindy and I will contribute the excellent Costco brats and hamburgers, beans and pies. Buns, Jeff’s ice cream, chips, salads, etc. are possible guest contributions. No worries about cost unless tariffs cause a 200% price increase in barbecue related commodities. We may consider investing in futures to offset that possibility🤓

I spoke with Jon and we will come up with an alternative for August tomorrow, Monday
