Commonly, they were pretty "normal" individuals, only more or less
overwhelmed by problems or sorrows of one kind or another.
Truth is, the devastating conditions they now are in, are nothing else
than the exact result of the very "treatment" they have been
subjected to.
As for treatment, maybe the best thing you can offer
people under mental distress simply is:
A relaxing shift of environment preferably in some nice rural area,
healthy nutritious food, vitamins, long walks looking at the
environment, friendly company...
This civilization would look so very different if such simple
principles were applied, rather than the billions
spent on psychiatric insanities like dangerous mind-crippling drugs,
even shock treatments, brain surgeries, and God knows what...
One of the most popular "wonder drugs", Prozac, soon accumulated
more adverse reaction reports filed with the U.S. Food and Drug
Administration (FDA) than any other drug in their reporting system.
Looking at crime statistics and social destitution,
flooding drugs into the society for quick bucks like psychiatry
and the drug industry now do, to "medicate" against anything from
reading difficulties and fatness to thievishness and homosexuality,
clearly is one of the most reckless activities one could engage in.
Do you think it was only a "coincidence" that at least one of the
Littletown, Colorado shooters was on Luvox, a powerful psychiatric
"antidepressant" drug similar to Prozac? Well, it wasn't. Prior
psychiatric drugs and treatments are the norm among mass murderers,
serial killers, and "inexplicable" insane acts of violence.
