A post-doc position is available at the Norwegian University of Science
and Technology, Department of Marine Hydrodynamics, within "Sediment
Transport Modelling in Marine Coastal Environments". The salary is

Researcher (post.doc.) (Temporary position)

At the Department of Marine Hydrodynamics a research scholarship
(post.doc.)
is vacant within the MAST3 project entitled "Sediment Transport
Modelling in
Marine Coastal Environments (SEDMOC)". The work will involve
theoretical
studies of the interaction between irregular waves, currents and
sediments in
the seabed boundary layer. The applicants must have a doctoral degree
or
equivalent qualifications. The work will be made in cooperation with
twelve
other European research groups.

The scholarship period is 1.5 years. Date of commencement is
approximately
October 1. Place of employment is at the Department of Marine
Hydrodynamics.

Depending on qualifications, the post as researcher is placed at code
1108 or
1109. Normally researchers at code 1109 are paid at wage level 46
(NOK 293 531,-) and researchers at code 1108 are paid up to level 44
(NOK 283 031,-) on the Norwegian State salary scale. The salary is now
under
negotiation.

There is a compulsory 2 % deduction from the gross salary which is paid
to
the Norwegian State Pension Fund.

Employees must follow the rules and regulations that are in force at any
time,
and accept possible changes in areas of work. Former practice of
importance
to this post can be credited.

As NTNU would like to increase the percentage of females in academic
positions, women are specially invited to apply.
