Hei,

sorry for posting in english, but the only norwegian word I know is
"tilbud". So I would like to talk about "tilbuds": I'm dreaming of a
Norröna ryggsekk ("Stetind") and a Helsport tent (Once again
"Stetind". Strange.). I don't tell you any news when I'm writing about
high prices in Norway. Is there any tilbud-website where I can order
good norwegian outdoor-gear? Or a 2nd-hand-website for
friluftsliv-equipemt?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

God tur

We can live with that.

There seems to be limited creativity among the people finding names to
mountain equipment. :) (And Stetind is a rather "iconic" peak.)

There's a couple of norwegian web stores selling friluftsliv
equipment. While not really cheap, they generally cheaper than most
regular shops:

http://www.sport-it.no/
http://www.sportsnett.no/
http://www.xxl.no/
http://www.altitude.no/

I think that if you order from Germany, you are not supposed to pay
the Norwegian sales tax of 24% (which are included in the prices
listed.) Instead you are supposed to pay any German saIes tax and
import duties, but if you're lucky and the post office clerk is
negligent wou won't have to. At least it works that way when ordering
the other way. I don't know what you have to do to get this right,
though. You can start by asking at the shop.

I don't know about any large, active, general-purpose 2nd-hand website
for friluftsliv-equipment in Norway. There is a fairly active 2nd hand
forum at www.friflyt.no, but it's mainly used by people selling
snowboards and skis for steep hills. I guess you _may_ find a tent or
backpack there. There is a newsgroup called no.annonser.friluftsliv,
it's not very active though.

It's also quite possible that if you can find a German shop selling
the items you want, they'll be cheaper there than they are in a
Norwegian store.

[adresses of norwegian web-stores for friluftsliv]

thanks a lot for the adresses. I've bookmarked them all, so I can
check them regulary for tilbuds or even knalltilbuds (my favourite
word).

Thank you very much for all your useful shopping-tips too.

Perhaps we'll meet one day on one of the "iconic" peaks in Norway. I'm
looking forward to some hiking-trips in the Troms-area this summer.
