Anyone with a USAA account have suggestions on usaa credit card direct
connect?
In Moneydance, I put in my member number, which is different from my
login name, and then my pin, which is different from my login
password.
I've tried all kinds of combinations in Moneywell, but to no avail.

I'd appreciate any suggestions.

thanks,

Paul

Member number and pin works here for a USAA savings account. Not sure
if their credit cards are different...

Member number and PIN works here also. If you were using the beta you
may have to delete and recreate the online connection -- I ran into
this once and had to do so. When you do connect it should give you a
list of all your USAA accounts and you can then match them to the
accounts in your MoneyWell file.

Paul,

Have you tried CONNECT AS: Quicken (Mac)? A lot of the banks only
recognize Quicken or MS Money. To change it from Moneywell go to Main
Menu>Transactions>Manage Online Connections and change the Connect As
to Quicken (Mac).

If that doesn't work, what error message are you getting?

Yes, I am getting [400] error from USAA, even after I got their
correct web address or OFX.

I had no problems setting up direct connect with USAA. Like mentioned
below, I had to use Quicken(Mac). Connecting as MoneyWell resulted in
the 400 error the first time I tried it. The login information should
be your member number and your password is the pin you'd use to access
your acct (the second security measure after the USAA.com login).
Sounds like that's what you're using, so I guess this message just
serves as confirmation that it can work. I didn't change anything
about the OFX address, I just used what came with MW 1.4.1.

HTH,
matt.

Thanks Matt.

Still getting the same error that it's having trouble connecting to
that URL. But my internet is running fine. I even tried every 'connect
as'.

The only other things I can think of are:

- do you have any firewalls or virus software that you could disable?
- were you a beta tester? I saw this behavior with a very early beta
version and the machine I'm running 1.4 on is a separate machine than
I was beta testing on.
- this is probably a question for Kevin, but there may be some more
detailed output in Console.app. I don't know if that was a beta
feature or if the production version logs there as well.

Hth,

matt.

If you could send me the ofxlog.txt file (send it directly to me at ke...@nothirst.com
) I would appreciate it. You can find it in your ~/Library/Application
Support/MoneyWell folder. I'll try to decipher why you are able to
connect.

1.4.2 solved all these issues, Kevin. The accounts are now direct
downloading. Thank you!
