Vacancy Announcement

A gender-focused NGO based in Ibadan Southwest Nigeria is in need of 1. A Personal Assistant (P.A.) to the Executive Director and  2. A Programme Manager.
Requirements:
1.    Personal Assistant (P.A.) to the Executive Director shall be responsible for the running of the day to day activities of the organization reporting to the Executive Director. She should be able to represent the Executive Director at meetings, workshops, conferences etc. She must be computer literate. Ability to work under pressure and to get things done in time is necessary. Qualifications: First Degree in Humanities or Social Sciences with at least two years experience in similar position or in an NGO setting.
2.    Programme Manager shall be responsible for coordinating both the human resources and the plans, programmes and activities of the organization. S/he shall be responsible to the Executive Director. Among other duties are:
-          Fundraising: Preparation of proposals, reports of meeting, reports to funders, etc.
-          When necessary, conduct research, policy analysis and advocacy on gender and socio-political issues
-          Managing and implementing projects    
-          Organizing events, conferences, workshops and seminars.
-          Ensuring timely completion of programmes according to work plan
-          Identifying and collaborating with relevant networks/coalitions
-          Represent the Executive Director at various events, conferences, workshops and seminars
Qualification: A degree in the Social Sciences, Humanities, or related field while an M. A/Sc will be an added advantage. A minimum of three years in similar position is essential. Excellent IT and administrative skills including computer dexterity is desirable.
Salaries: Encouraging and negotiable depending on the experience.
