Dear Khabri,

Congratulations! Your submission, Khabri, has been selected to compete in the final round of the #PitchTech4Dev competition. This means you had one of the 10 best proposals in the first round and now you have a chance to convince a panel of judges that your idea deserves to win it all. Below we offer a few logistical notes for the final round:

Logistics:
  • The Final Round of the competition will be held on Thursday, November 14 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm in IAB 1512. Registration is at 2:30pm.
  • The schedule is available here: http://pitchtech4dev.wordpress.com/event-schedule/.
  • The dress code is business casual.
  • You will be presenting a 8 minute talk to the judges, followed by 5 minutes of Q&A. You will be cut off if you go over time.
  • Here is the basic scoring criteria (subject to change): http://bit.ly/1afqvpT. It should help you understand what the judges will be looking for in your proposal.
  • Your PowerPoint slides for your talk is due to this email address by 5pm Wednesday, November 13th. This will give us time to set up the presentations and you time to practice your final version.
We think you have a great idea that is both a) unique and b) full of potential. We look forward to hearing your presentation. Also, please invite your friends and classmates to the event on November 2nd, and congratulations again!

If you haven’t already, please invite your friends to join the Facebook event: https://www.facebook.com/events/431503413639279. This is a great opportunity for our friends to not only watch you pitch but meet judges from Google Ideas, Dimagi, Ericsson, Lucas Point Ventures, BBC Media Action Lab. They can also network with representatives from partner organizations such as AppLab, Clinton Health Access Initiatives, Millennium Villages Project , Modi Research Group, Ushahidi and Community Systems Foundation

Sincerely,
NMTF Board
