This is an announcement for a New Mobility Accelerator in partnership with Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship, IIMA (CIIE), supported by Shell Foundation and Hewlett Foundation. The last date to apply is March 7th, 2016 midnight. Through the Accelerator, we are aiming to support new and innovative early stage shared mobility businesses that are providing mobility-as-a-service and transforming urban transport in India. This would be an amazing opportunity for businesses to get 6 months of business support from WRI India Sustainable Cities and CIIE as well as access to potential funding for the business or organization. To know more: http://wricitieshub.org/accelerator.
Would be great if you can share with your network to get this to a few entrepreneurs!

anu

Dear All,
EMBARQ India invites you and your colleagues to its upcoming workshop on ‘Designing a Modern City Bus Service’ on 2 and 3 July 2015 at Hotel Fortune Select Global, M.G. Road, Opposite Guru Dornacharya Metro Station in Gurgaon. This workshop is part of EMBARQ India’s Talking Transit series, an initiative of the Bus Karo programme.
The two-day workshop, co-hosted by EMBARQ India and the Gurgaon Municipal Corporation, and supported by TOI will focus on developing a high-quality city bus service for Gurgaon drawing on expertise from various cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad and others. For the first time at Talking Transit, EMBARQ India will be convening experts who would help a city plan and develop a new public bus service for its residents. Areas like route planning, monitoring systems, support infrastructure, and financial sustainability will be discussed in the context of Gurgaon.
Local and international experts will highlight best practices in bus operations and planning. The Talking Transit workshop series is supported by a grant from FedEx Corporation. EMBARQ India’s Bus Karo initiative aims at facilitating a peer-to-peer network that encourages shared learning between city bus agencies from around the country.
A draft program schedule is attached with this email.
Please revert incase you are interested to participate in the workshop .
Regards,
Sarika
