This below is a request from a group working on equity in electricity supply. They need help  in identifying certain households/ commercial offices / industries where they could install an electricity monitoring device. Please see email below.

It was nice to know you and meet you at our meeting in Pune. I am writing to you to take ahead our conversation regarding our (Prayas's) initiative on electricity supply quality monitoring in Gurgaon. 

At Prayas Energy Group, we believe transparency and accountability in the electricity sector is key to improving the service quality. In order to bring about the same and ask for equity in supply to all people across the country we have been implementing the electricity supply quality monitoring across the country over the last year.  In this initiative we install a small (radio) like unit at different consumer locations , which measures voltage and sends the same over internet to our server. This information is made publicly available through our website www.watchyourpower.org. 

Currently we have one device in Gurgaon and would like to track the recently declared program by the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam , to ensure 24 x 7 supply by installing a few more devices . I was wondering if you could help us in identifying certain households/ commercial offices / industries where we could install the same . 

Please feel free to write back if you need any more information regarding the same. Also, we would be all the more happy if you could identify some one person from Gurgaon who could take responsibility of installing the devices and we could support this help with a some money which could cover his/her cost of travel and more.

Happy to. At either or both my homes - Gurgaon sector 47 [Park View Spa] or Green One, my CR Park South Delhi home. Both places also have air-quality monitors and other monitoring systems. PKR
