Dear Parimal ji, Dear Bhawani ji & Vinay Shankar ji, Dear Nisha ji & Friends,You call it a democracy...some among us call it all a democrazy...which is what it is !Contracts are laid out...and before the contractor gets selected, he hands out 20-25% to the ones who lay it out, fully or in 1-2 installments. Then only the work gets to be implemented, as per the contractor's "kwality" and there is no Q in that quality, because he too looks out for his CUTs, before the job gets done.2. That is the way it was before Independence, and during the days of the Second World War, those dealing with steel pipes, anything in steel, sheets or girders, to what have you made a quick buck and so on. Then the counting was in LACS. NOW it is in everything... including plugging the potholes, and the counting is in CRORES and not lacs! That is the only difference.3. The other add on is to grab thousands of crores from the nationalised Banks, and then on forget about it all. IF things get kind of bad,... get to be an MP in the Lower or the Upper House...and failing all that then an MLA to what have you...and plan on a dynasty, regardless of where you are.....!4. That should answer all the questions we raise in our small town of Gurugram.... is that not visible, yet ? It may be easier with a Gurgaon Development Authority than was earlier, one suspects.....Aagey aagey dekho hota hai kya...is all that one can say- optimistically!Peace is what we need.dev chopragave up, long ago***On 17 July 2016 at 15:15, Parimal C Bardhan <parimal...@yahoo.com> wrote:Dear Bhawani,The trick is at the time of election ,make all promises and once elected present a bleak financial picture and levy all kinds of cess like cow cess in Haryana. All the money generated in Gurgaon, one of the richest city just goes to a black hole...We all know what is that blackhole. And we as citizens are tossed around. It is just a cry in wilderness.Suffer we do but polticians and administrators just do merry go round. It is yet to be established who is the master....in our democracy.CheersParimal

Road repair has been one of the main issues. For the last 18 months we have been turned back by the Minister saying that "the Government does not have any money for roads....we are managing by taking loans....give us six months' time.......the previous government has left nothing for us."This has been their argument even in public gatherings which he has addressed in our area community centres. So even if the MP/MLAs have promised the sky in their political manifestoes, they have had a very justifiable reason for not carrying out any development work: "The government does not have any money."Is this not what you are hearing from HUDA too? "Empty coffers."
