City glitters for Hollande?

Dear all:
On Sunday night, I was out on old Gurgaon road and then from Atul Kataria chowk up to Signature Towers (for those who may be familiar with this stretch)
Both roads were flooded with the street lights showering their yellow luminance in full beam....I was amazed...rather pleasantly surprised....never had I seen this part of Gurgaon so bright and beautiful in the last 17 years since I have been here.
Till I realized...may be it was all for our honoured guest Hollande, President of France...and following it, the investors Summit.
Whatever...I wish this wonder can be sustained....imagine, by simply making the streetlights work, the city could look so beautiful - and so much safer.

Yes Bhawniji, Gurgaon glittered for the visit of the French President and several parts of the city looked so neat and clean. MG Road was looking particularly good but for the dilapidated dustbins that are eyesores. How one wishes these dustbins having served their life-span need to be replaced urgently. The attention of some of the HUDA officials has been drawn to this several times but to no avail. I also took a picture which is attached.
One of the dustbins has no legs having been maimed several months back and the other one ....

The trash BINS are being used to burn garbage, and i see it happen at least 5 days in a week, as i do visit MGF Mall, next to Heritage Apts.
The ugly, half-spilt sand-bags (for security related events) on the pavement outside the MGF Mall were removed and a 3-feet high brick-cement enclosure was made, finally. My reading on all of this is: with a "minimum allocation of funds", the system has been doing what it sees is best...period.
May be the rest will follow as and when the "Investors' in Haryana" gets under way in upcoming March ! As you may know, the CM is anticipating, with Centre's involvement, to get Rs 1 lakh crores from external sources for Gurgaon & Haryana early March, 2016.
With that background -- who really speaking, among the politicians, is concerned about "minor matters" like BINS, Garbage, drainage, etc. -- the Babugiri apparently awaits the politicos NOD. Thus we await eternally...

As you know there are large number of vendors cooking and selling food on MG Road. It is these guys who put in the burning coals in the dustbins. There is nobody to stop them. Recently as reported in the papers food cooking in the open in the streets is also causing damage to the environment and is being banned. But banning has to be effective. The bins need to be replaced anyhow.
