Hey Earth Science Clubbers,

Next Tuesday is the liquid nitrogen volcano experiment with the 4th-8th grade students.  I'm looking for volunteers to help with the experiment.  We'll have a few eruptions and hopefully a few stations of volcano monitoring equipment for the students to walk through.

Here's what I need:
1-2 handy(wo)men:  I'll need help with the setup and actual conduction of the experiment (e.g., getting water, pouring liquid nitrogen) and cleanup as well.
3-4 people for stations:  I'm hoping to get some seismic and infrasound equipment out there and will need people to explain the instrumentation to students.
2 documentarians: I'd like a couple people to document the experiment with photos and video both for the club, the teachers, and any other cause you may need it for.  Jeff also mentioned the possibility of a high-speed camera.

We also just need bodies out there to help control the children and answer questions that arise.

E-mail me back soon if you want to help out.  I'll send out an e-mail to the department asking for more volunteers if the needs aren't met by the ESC.

Nicole
