Hey Gang,

It's about time to start planning the City of Rocks trip for this semester. The club's budget has (mostly) been approved, so we have money to cover the campground fee for City of Rocks.  We should also be able to cover gas and food expenses.  Now we need to pick a date...

I would like to suggest Oct. 8th and 9th.  I know there is a lot going on in October, and November starts getting really busy.  Unfortunately we won't be able to find a weekend without conflicts, but if you really want to go on the trip and that weekend doesn't work for you, let me know.  I would like to drive up Friday night and come back Sunday evening.  To save $$ I'd also like to find volunteers to drive.

If you're interested, please send me an email (sara.lik...@gmail.com).  Let me know if Oct. 8th works for you, or if not suggest an alternative.  I'll hold a meeting in the next couple of weeks to finalize the plans.

Cheers,
Sara

I dont know how many people this would affect, but that's the weekend of Socorrofest.  People may still rather go to city of rocks, but if enough people want to go to socorrofest you may want to wait until the following weekend.

I sent a similar message to Sara - RMR is the weekend of the 1, Socorrofest the weekend of the 8, Nothing the weekend of the 15, and 49ers the weekend of the 21. I hear there are a lot of midterms the week following the 15 though, so perhaps that isn't ideal either.

Paint the M is on the friday morning of 49ers this year, and a lot of EES people do that, so that would def be something to avoid.
