August Meeting Notes

David hosted our August meeting, on his patio with a wonderful view of the mountains.

• Our September meeting will be hosted by Tom, September 17th
• Our October meeting will also be Octoberfest and our next competition.  Ben's house, Saturday October 18 at 2:00. 
• We tasted our barreled barleywine and it is probably due to be kegged.  I will send a separate note.

The beers that we tasted are listed below, commercial beers in Italics

• Ben: Assman Cometh (Munich helles), Paulaner Oktoberfest Bier, Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest, Paulaner Oktoberfest-Märzen, Pizza Napoli (Pale ale with Anchovy hops)
• Lorrey: Laško Zlatorog Svetlo (Pale Lager from Slovenia), Live Oak HefeWeizen 
• Charles: Hikin' Beer – (Downshift Brewing Company Vienna Lager), Adobe Wheat (Cloudcroft Brewing Company), Saison, Flanders Red 2023 (on tart cherries), Lodgehouse (Ale Apothecary Wild Specialty beer), Pecan Beer (Sierra Blanca Brewing)
• David S: "Free Beer!"  (Gluten free juicy pale ale)
• Brandon: Redemption IPA (West Coast-ish IPA), Saison, Dry Irish Stout 
• Corey: Spirit of the West (Westbound & Down IPA), Bloodaxe (TRVE Brewing (RIP) Nordic Farmhouse), Cherry Adam From The Wood (2016) (Hair of the Dog), Cherry Adam From The Wood (2017) (Hair of the Dog)
• Michael J: Hazy IPA, Ebbegarden Farmhouse (Ebbegarden kveik), Barrel sample batch 3 (8 months old)
• Eric: White Chocolate Blonde Stout, Baltic Bliss Porter, Barleywine

• Mike D: Mead (from ~50 yo honey), fruited melomel 2014
