Hey Sangres,

I have a friend coming from Austin this month. He’s looking for a dark sky location. Does anybody have any good ones that will be easy to get to this time of year?

Thanks,

Tom

Chaco Canyon is as dark as you can get, easy-ish to get to still. Cold if he intends to camp.

Dark Sky Park, just south near Magdalena (and the VLA) was one of the first to be recognized in the US.
