(Unbelievable case study) Why locking of aadhar is very vital?

Suggestion: Request everyone to keep aadhar locked. Also, lock the biomatric of aadhar too. Locking of aadhar & its biometric are separate activities. Also, block international payment for your debit & credit card, apart from setting daily maximum limit for domestic transcriptions. These can easily set & changed from relevant app. 

Gist: Bank accounts opened  without OTP by unknown & several fraudulent transactions done within 2 days

Facts: A young software engineer visited the hotel booking a website to book a hotel for Trimbakeshwar Temple Darshan. He contacted the number displayed on the portal. He shared his Adhar card only. *He didn't share any OTP. Mobile no of aadhar changed without his knowledge.* Later on, several bank accounts have been opened in his name in a day using e-kyc & there were fraudulent transactions, for which he received notices from police of different states. Police were not  booking his FIR too from the last one month, which was done after request by an influential person. I read his written submissions to the police too, mentioning the above fact, prepared by an advocate.
