I thinking of using NModbus for communicating with  PLC.

I already know that there will be different PLCs for different projects!

Is there a list of which PLC that supports Modbus Tcp ( with or without an extra module)?

I can speak for Scheider Electric's PLC. We support Modbus TCP on all PLC platforms.

But I think today every PLC brand that have an Ethernet port supports Modbus TCP when it is a well-known Ethernet port 502 for the Modbus TCP/IP protocol.
The Modbus protocol was transferred from Schneider Electric to the Modbus Organization in April 2004, signaling a commitment to openness.

Hello Andreas

Sounds Good!
I will use NModbus  to connect to the PLC and hopefully the PLC guys/gals will NOT pick a PLC that doesn't support Modbus Tcp

Thanks for your answer.

Hello, I am not aware of a PLC ethernet capable which does not support Modbus TCP

I am currently using NModbus with Schneider PLCs, and works well (apart for a little doubt, see "Occasional crash on unhandled exception in internal async operation in modbus slave"  in this group.

Great! So I'm backing a winning horse then!

Thanks for your answer!
