Hi,
I am looking at using NModbus on a project that requires Modbus RTU
over TCP, and want to know if NModbus supports RTU over TCP. I know it
supports Modbus TCP, but I've read there are a few differences between
this protocol and Modbus RTU over TCP.

So does NModbus support both protocols or just Modbus TCP?

Thanks.

Both are supported by NModbus.

Hi Scott,
Thanks for the confirmation. In my case I want to make a Modbus
slave, so I presume I use the ModbusSlave class. Do I need to set any
properties or tell the object to expect Modbus RTU over TCP instead of
Modbus TCP? Or does it just figure it all out somehow?

Thanks,
Leigh

Ah, rtu over tcp/ip has only been implemented for the master thus far.
Let me have a look how much work this would be.

That would be fantastic if you could add it!

Thanks again.

Hi Scott,
Have you had a chance to look into adding Modbus RTU over TCP into the
slave yet?

Thanks.
