ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
17th Workshop on ‘Biomedical Informatics and Novel Drug Discovery’ is being organized by
Bioinformatics Centre at Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sevagram during
December 1-2, 2014. Interesting Lectures on Biomedical Informatics, Genomics, Proteomics,
Evidence Based Medicine, Hospital Information System, Healthcare Management, Biomedical
Communication etc would be delivered by expert faculty. Besides, Interactive session,
Demonstrations and Hands on sessions on virtual screening, docking and drug designing etc
would also be conducted to promote use of Biomedical Informatics in health care management.
Interested Medical Teachers, Scientists, Postgraduate and PhD students who intend to apply
Biomedical Informatics approaches in their research or wish to contribute to the developments
of this field may apply for attending this Workshop. The number of participants will be
restricted to 25. Interested participants can submit workshop theme-based abstracts (250 words
in MS Word format) by e mail (satis...@mgims.ac.in) by November 15, 2014. Selected
participants will be informed about the details of their presentation. The Faculty will be drawn

from Nationwide Universities and Medical & Research Institutes.

Applicants are requested to send their brief resume, along with the registration form duly filled

in with registration fee on or before November 15, 2014.
