Press Note:

NMIMS-IMCI to conduct 18 National Consultancy Convention

February 07, 2012 MUMBAI.  NMIMS in collaboration with IMCI will conduct 18 National consultancy Convention on “Building Ecosystem for Management consulting in India” at Santokba Hall, near NMIMS Campus, V.L Mehta Road, Vile Parle (W), Mumbai.

The consulting profession is a sign of a matured & developed economy and regulating the profession is essential to prevent quacks from entering the field. It can be argued that everyone prefers to go to a qualified doctor when one life is at stake but no one bothers to verify the qualification of a consultant where the future livelihood of multiple stakeholders in an organisation is at stake.

The challenge is to nurture such consultants and provide an convivial ecosystem for them to flourish and help manage the economy better - in an era where book keeping has become completely straight thru - banking happens through computers, almost all large scale units including governments, resort to systems for work - skill sets other than mere accounting /secretarial will be needed to resolve issues.

Here at convention crème de la crème of the consulting world representing their organization will present their opinion and set the stage for engaging discussions on emerging trends, exclusive opportunities and pressing challenges posed by the changing face of industry. ---ENDS---
