2011NM Excel Club Spring Rally Itinerary April 29-May 2, 2011

Directions from Albuquerque: go south on I-25 to Las Cruces, take I-10
west toward Deming; exit on Ave de Mesilla
(Exit 140), South 0.1 mile on Ave de Mesilla to Stern Dr. (1st
immediate left); east 0.2 miles, resort is on the right.
Rally Theme: TAILGATE PARTY (bring your favorite team shirt or
cheerleading outfit to wear to the Saturday evening
tailgate event-Note***favorite sports team could be pro team, high
school team, little league, etc.)
Friday, April 29
2-4pm Registration (side room of resort lobby) Sign up for Saturday
dinner (no cost), Pet Parade entry, Mary Kay
seminar, purchase raffle (50/50) tickets, sign-up sheets for rally
volunteer opportunities (help always needed!)
5-6:30pm Margarita Party Night (margaritas compliments of Hacienda RV
Resort-lobby patio; Excel club members to
bring finger foods, appetizers, chips, dips, etc.-time to socialize
and visit with old and new friends
Saturday, April 30
Breakfast on your own (Hacienda RV Resort will not be providing
breakfast(s).
8-9am Late registration, sign-up sheets, 50/50 tickets
9-9:30am Geocaching Seminar with Buffy and Steve (bring your GPS if
you’ve got one)
9:30-10:30 Ralph (RV Sales) Question and Answer Session (remember no
repair work will be done at the rally as Ralph is
on vacation, too)
10:30-11:30 Pet Parade- show off your pets in their best attire, meet
in front of Lobby bldg., prizes will be awarded after
evening meeting
11:30-1pm Lunch on your own
1-2pm Mel Nefzger will be giving some Tips & Tricks, always and
interesting session! Meet in rally tent…
1-2pm Fran Lackey will give a Mary Kay presentation; side room of
lobby
Other afternoon options:
1-3:30pm Winery tours (meet at lobby), Farm and Ranch Museum (located
on E. University), see brochures in Hacienda
Lobby for more Las Cruces activities/events/restaurant guides, etc.
2-4 pm Volunteers to set up tables/decorate rally tent for Tailgate
party. Those donating items for Silent Auction please
bring to tent for display.
5-6:30 Tailgate party in Rally Tent. Everyone wear your favorite sport
team shirt, colors, or cheerleading outfit! Hamburgers, hotdogs, buns,
and condiments will be furnished by the club. Side dishes will be
brought by members according to last name:
Members with last name beginning with A-H: Bring Desserts
Members with last name beginning with I-P: Bring Potato or Pasta salad
Members with last name beginning with Q-Z: Bring Baked Beans
Everyone bring your own beverage (water will be furnished)
Before/during dinner-please take a moment to look at and make a bid
(if desired) on Silent Auction Items; also, last chance to purchase
50/50 tickets (club fundraiser).
6:30-7:30pm NM Excel Club Business Meeting, Pet parade awards, door
prize give-away, 50/50 drawing, Silent Auction
8pm Swing Band from Las Cruces High School, time to kick up your heels
and enjoy the evening
10pm Clean-up –Volunteers-the more help, the less time it takes
Sunday, May 1
Breakfast on your own-check out some local eateries!
Lunch on your own.
2-4pm Excel RV Tours-Ribbons will be tied to doors of RVs giving tours-
time to have a look at your neighbors RV!
6:30 Volunteers set up for Ice Cream Social
7pm ICE CREAM SOCIAL in the rally tent. Ice cream& toppings furnished
by the Club. Bring your own beverage.
8pm-??? Final clean-up in the rally tent
Monday, May 2
Breakfast on your own, say good-bye to those heading home or ?
What to bring:
NM EXCEL Club name tag (for those who haven’t received their name tag
yet, please let Kay Stout, club secretary, know when you sign in at
registration so the club can get one made for you).
Sports team shirt, colors, or cheerleading outfit from your favorite
team (pro, high school, little league, soccer, etc.)
Pet parade outfit for your pet if you’re entering the Pet Parade on
Saturday.
Snacks or appetizers for Friday night (Margarita Party/Social)
Cash/Check for dues if you haven’t paid your 2011 dues.
Cash for 50/50 tickets if desired, Silent Auction items if you find
something you can’t live without!
Item to donate for Silent Auction (if you’ve got something $10 value
or more you’d like to donate as a fundraiser for the club)
