Registration will be December 12 to 16 between 8:30 to 11:00 AM in CBH.

Leadership in Democracy

A question one might as is, "What is Democracy?" Abraham Lincoln said,
"Democracy is known as government of the people, by the people, and for
the people." This class will explore the roles of citizen leaders in
Democracy around the world from the American Revolution to the present.
The focus of the class will be on citizen leadership, how individuals in
democracies, at levels of grassroots and wider community have risen to
affect positive changes through action and example. This class is
suitable for advanced English language students interested in political
science, civics, and civil society. There will be heavy reading and
discussion, short essay writing, guest lecturers and a final exam. Full
participation and full attendance will be strongly encouraged. All are
