Dear Colleagues
We are pleased to invite you to a Training the trainers: Effective
Communication and facilitation Skills organized by the Local Resource
Centre on 11 November 2011 and 14 November 2011.
Purpose:
Participants will strengthen their training skills and be more effective in
their organizational capacity or in implementing projects, whilst deepening
understanding of what gets in the way, and developing the tools to deal
with these issues. The training will be for a maximum of 25 participants.
Aims:
• to enhance communication and mediation skills across areas of difference;
• to deepen personal relationships and self-confidence;
• to explore a range of strategies and tools for working more effectively
and harmoniously in social organisations, communities and families;
• to gain the confidence and skills for participants to offer community
workshops on Effective Communication.
Resource person: Jill Jameson, Australian Specialist in Community
Development
Language: English will be used during training sessions.
Criteria for participation:
Should be middle and senior staff from project/programme department
Should be working in NGO and CBO
Should be able to participate in the whole two days training
Training Dates and Timing:
11 November 2011, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
14 November 2011, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

*Participation in training is free of charge and tea/coffee with small
snacks will be provided except lunch.*
We have (25) seats only and these will be offered on a first come first
served basis. Interested applicants are kindly requested to return a
completed application form to the Local Resource Centre (3rd Floor, Salomon
Business Centre) or Email: (lrcy...@lrcmyanmar.org) not later than 7th
November 2011. We will only accept one application per organization due to
the limited number of spaces.
