We have re-posted our Family Advocate position and  would appreciate you sending this out to everyone at the Coalition as well as your list serve(s) and others in the community.  Here's some information on the posting. 

 

Para Los Niños is a specialty clinic within the Department of Pediatrics serving children and adolescents with concerns of sexual abuse and sexual assault. We are seeking a Family Advocate to oversee the crisis management/social work component of the Para Los Niños Program. This position will provide crisis counseling, support and education specific to the needs of families affected by child sexual abuse and sexual assault.  Provides both individual and group interventions that positively impact families and patients ability to manage the aftermath of child sexual abuse/assault.  Provides education and guidance regarding the sexual abuse/assault MDT protocol for community agencies, clinics and hospitals, new employees, and students of all levels. Makes decisions independently in a clinical setting that involves a high degree of specialized knowledge of working with the dynamics of trauma.
