It's not directly media-related, but we're working on a good opportunity to raise visibility for Albuquerque and NM as a whole. Please take a look!

The Rise of the Rest visit last year helped confirm Albuquerque's presence as an up and coming startup ecosystem reflecting well on not only us, but also New Mexico as a whole. Now, for the first time, they're considering revisiting a previous city AND they're putting it to a vote. We're asking for your help in winning that vote with a vote of your own and some sharing in your network. Voting ends this Thursday 10/12.

For background, Rise of the Rest is an annual bus tour of emerging Startup Cities from Steve Case (co-founder of aol, serial entrepreneur & investor), his fund, Revolution, with the Kauffman Foundation, TechCo, Engine, Inc. Village Capital and several other partners. During each visit they tour and promote a city and invest $100K in a local startup at a late afternoon pitch event. The validation for a community like ours is really priceless.

If you're willing, we'd appreciate your vote at http://bit.ly/bringbackthebus_ABQ (you have to enter your email for it to be valid!). And, if you can help more, please use their sharing tools or email your colleagues with something like this:

Please help us highlight New Mexico entrepreneurs by bringing back the Rise of Rest bus, $100K in investment & priceless national attention as one of the USA's scrappiest emerging cities for startups. Visit http://bit.ly/bringbackthebus_ABQ select Albuquerque, enter your email address and vote!

And thanks to everyone here for being an important part of our ecosystem!

Eric
