Alan Heim Oscar winning Editor. Alan has enjoyed a long and successful career as a Picture Editor and is best know for his work on American History X (1998), The Notebook (2004), Network (Oscar nominated 1976), All That Jazz (Oscar for Best Film Editing 1980). Alan edited Bless Me Ultima, a film that is especially near and dear to New Mexican's. His extensive experience as a sound and music editor fulfills this year's NMPA meeting theme, "It's All About Sound. IMDB

Saturday, November 8th, we will host our annual membership event at the South Broadway Cultural Center in Albuquerque. This event brings together some of the greatest sound experts and editing talent in the world. Several world class vendors will be in attendance, whose products support the industry with professional audio and video editing tools. Attendees should expect to learn why SOUND is so important, and how it equates to over 50% of a film's success.
