Dear All,

The Centre for Constitutional Law & Administrative Law (CCAL), National Law University, Jodhpur, is pleased to invite all students, researchers, and faculty members to our Symposium on Dr. Ambedkar’s Legacy and Constitutional Silences, to be held on 14 April 2026, commemorating the 135th birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

This symposium seeks to critically engage with the idea of constitutional silences by reflecting on the gaps, absences, and interpretive complexities within India’s constitutional framework, while revisiting Dr. Ambedkar’s transformative vision in contemporary discourse. The event will also mark the launch of the Special Issue of the Comparative Constitutional Law & Administrative Law Journal (CALJ), titled “Decoding Constitutional Silences: Experiences from India.

We are honoured to host an esteemed panel of scholars, practitioners, and Editorial Board members, including Sr. Advocate Sudish Pai, Dr. Shruti Bedi, Dr. Manisha Mirdha, Ms. Jwalika Balaji, Mr. Anshul Dalmia, Dr. Sayantani Bagchi, and Sinchan Chatterjee, who have contributed to this special issue. The symposium will be conducted in an online mode and is open to all.
