Invitation to Vishu Sadhya 🌸

Hope you’re all doing well.

It is that time of the year again to come together and celebrate with good food and great company. We, the Malayali community of NLUJ, cordially invite you to join us for the auspicious occasion of Vishu (Malayali New Year) and enjoy a traditional Vishu Sadya.

For those unfamiliar, the Sadya is a grand vegetarian feast served on a banana leaf, featuring a wide variety of authentic Kerala dishes that capture the essence of the festival and its traditions.

Since 14th April is a holiday on account of Ambedkar Jayanti, we are planning to head to a nearby Kerala restaurant for lunch to enjoy the Sadya together (with options for non-vegetarian dishes available separately for those interested).

For the same, we need to provide the restaurant with an exact headcount in advance to ensure that everyone is adequately accommodated and no one misses out on the food. Please fill out the form by April 09 (i.e., today) if you would like to join us.

P.S. The approximate cost per person is Rs. 350.

Dear all,

This is a gentle reminder that the form for the Vishu Sadya will be closing within the next hour. We request everyone who intends to join us to kindly fill out the form at the earliest, as it is essential for us to have an accurate headcount for the arrangements.

Additionally, please note that the Sadya will also be available on 15th April (the actual day of Vishu) at KFFC, for those who may prefer to attend on the festival day itself.

Hey everyone,

For the Vishu Sadhya tomorrow, we’re getting together for lunch at Kerala Hotel KFFC near the Air Force Road Officers’ Mess, Jodhpur.

We’ve arranged the college buses in two slots: 11:30 PM and 1:00 PM. You need not stick with the above-mentioned timing but are also welcome to come on your own. The Sadhya will be served between 12:00 PM and 2:30 PM.
