VNC Viewer on ChromeOS

I got a Chromebook on tax free weekend.  I'm hoping to make it my primary notebook.  One of the things I need is to get a VNC Viewer.  It is new/good enough to have the Google Play store, so that opens up more possibilities.  Anyone have a favorite VNC app for ChromeOS or Android?

Mind if I ask which device you snagged?

Anyway, I usually use the VNC Viewer[1] and SSH forwarding in Secure Shell[2]. I also use Chrome's remote desktop feature too if I have a choice in technology on both ends.

It's an HP 2-in-1. Went for slightly nicer specs in hopes of using it longer.

Found ChromeOS has a Linux option built in now (Beta, but is any Google product out of beta yet? Lol.). Now I just need to find the command line way to open a 2nd terminal.

The other end is connecting to a Linux box. All at home, so I can install anything.

So since this is NLUG, I wonder what's your take on Linux on Chrome books?

I know they've been around for years, but I'm brand new to Chromebooks. I just found and installed Google's version last night.  I didn't have much time to poke around before I had to sleep.  

Just glancing at Crouton, other than possible replacement or dual boot with ChromeOS, I'm not seeing much of a difference.  I'd be interested in other's experiences.

As far as a command line way to open a second terminal - could you use tmux? I frequently use it to divide one terminal into 8 or more instances to run scripts in parallel while keeping an eye on the output.
