Looking into disabling firmware write protect and
https://mrchromebox.tech/ firmware update to be able to truly install Linux. Anyone else gone down this rabbit hole before? A few hops to get there, but originated at a trusted source...
Kaybe Lake hardware, so if I'm reading things correctly, I have to open it up and remove the battery (temporarily?) to get it to disable firmware write protect. And after flashing BIOS, it can't go back to Chrome OS. I'd rather not brick it before I get it paid for on my no interest financing.
