Hi,

I did get successfully setup with Google Voice, but was curious how/when one got some invites that he/she could send to their friends *and* from the main GV page, where does one go to see how many invites they have and/or to send one to a friend?

Thanks,

Mark

Invites are on the bottom of the left-hand-side navbar; "Invite
a friend (N left)" where N is the number available.

I'm still hoping some kind soul can share a google wave invite with me.

My URL is google.com/voice

I do not see anything anywhere on this page about invites. When you say
"Nav Bar" can you give me a point of reference please. My lower left has
"Calling Credit" (on left " frame").

Thanks!

If you have available invites the link I mentioned should be
directly under the Calling Credit area. If it is not being
displayed I'd think you do not have any available.

Since I just got signed up, do you know what criteria earns you some
invite credits?

if you have calling credit you are talking about Google Voice and I think the request is for Google Wave.

Everything I see in this thread indicates Google Voice, but I'm
running on fumes at the moment so I could very well be wrong.

I have Google Voice already (just signed up) and wanted to send a GV invite to my cousin.  I am WANTING to get on Google Wave so I need an invite.  :-)  So, though confusing, I am actually deal with both.

I'm not sure what the criteria are for how invites are allocated
to users; I had 3 originally with Google Voice and apparently I
have none with Google Wave.

There may be something in the support area for google about
this though.

I understand what happened now.  Tim Sheets posted a Google Wave invite request to this thread... no worries, and my apologies.

Probably a quota or capacity thing then. At least I know where it would
appear now.

Just curious - is the Android Google Voice App the only way to get outgoing calls to show up as your Google Voice number and not your mobile, or do other phones have this functionality too?

iphone has a google voice app that will show the google voice number.
This also works for sms.

To get Google Voice Special Telephone Number to show up as Incoming #

Dial your Google Voice # from a phone you want to converse on.
Press # then your access code depending on your settings.

Press "2" then "1 then the number"
or international "2" then "011" then the number

cheers

It does?  I haven't been able to find one.  Can you post the name of the app or provide a URL?

Correction. It's not an app. I just bookmarked the google voice site
on the iphone home screen so I can access it with one click.

So it's not ideal, but if you absolutely need to show the google voice
number it works.

Interesting.  I didn't know you could do that (use the web app from the iPhone to initiate the call-me, call-you rigmarole.)

Are they even doing invites any more? I requested directly and got the
account within a day or two.
