I believe the NLTK book is by far the best on-line text book I've read. I noticed a few links from the book's new location at nltk.org/book may be broken. I don't believe everything got transferred to the new site. Specifically, there are multiple references to the nltk.org/howto pages, which do not exist. They were located at

http://nltk.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/doc/howto/index.html

Also, the link for chapter 6 extras on www.nltk.org/book is a broken link. it points to www.nltk.org/book/ch06-extras.html now (which doesn't exist). it used to point to

http://nltk.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/doc/book/ch06-extras.html

I read in chapter 6 about government sponsored challenges, which the book says are referenced on the web site. Do such things still occur? If they do could you post the links there, I would be interested in that.

Thanks for reporting these problems. We're dealing with a number of transitions in the NLTK project (hosting, Python porting, test framework), and the HOWTO's have not yet been migrated. The link you gave is still current, but I hope to get them rebuilt and moved to http://nltk.org/howto soon (and then update the links from the book).
