Hi,
I was wondering if the wordnet API supports the wordnet domains
hierarchy of grouping words/phrases together? If so, how does one
determine the domain of a given synset?

thanks,
Darren

I suspect not. If you know where this information is stored in the
WordNet database, it might be possible to expose it somehow.

Where did you get that preposterous hypothesis?
Did Steve tell you that?

If someone wanted to create an issue for this  I have a patch (just a few lines in corpus/readers/wordnet.py that return topic_domains, region_domains, and usage_domains)

The domains in WordNet are limited. Attached are files that list the topic, usage, and region domains (with some groupings of like domains).
The topic domains have a bit of hierarchy. Members of the domains are spotty, along with other problems.

I would welcome the ability to query domains, although the coverage is
spotty, they are very useful indicators for WSD when we get a match.
