Hey,

So some of you had approached us with doubts about filling the percentage for college subjects in the HS Application. Mannat and Divyanshu were kind enough to tell us how to go about it. Mannat's mail is in the trailing thread. Please go through it carefully. Both of them told us that the whole batch should follow a uniform method for filling the college results. So please follow this to avoid confusion.

Do let us know if you have any further doubts.

Regards,
Lavanya

Hi Lavanya!

Yeah, we faced the same problem. When we filled out the form we used the 'other' grading option and filled out the below in the space provided for the explanation-

National Law School of India University follows a seven point grading scale. Grades are awarded on the basis of the percentage of marks received, and each grade has a corresponding numerical value. The grading system used is as follows:

Grade : Percentage of Marks obtained : Value of grade

O : 70% and above : 7

A+ : 65% - 69% : 6

A : 60% - 64% : 5

B+ : 55% - 59% : 4

B : 50% - 54% : 3

F : below 50% : 0

The cumulative GPA is calculated by adding the value of each grade obtained and dividing this sum by the total number of subjects/courses that have been completed. As the exact percentage obtained per subject is not made known to us, the "Grade %" field reflects the lowest possible percentage for the corresponding grade obtained. For example, if the Grade Percentage specified is 70%, the actual grade

obtained in the course is "O".

This is what Pinka's year used too. Also, I don't check this id regularly, so if you guys have any follow up questions/other doubts email me mann...@gmail.com please?

Hope the app process hasn't been too existential,

Mannat

Hi Mannat,

Hope you are doing well and enjoying the holidays. I needed some help from you.
Some of my batch mates had a doubt wrt the Herbert Smith Application Process. The form requires us to fill the details for each subject in college. But there is only a "percentage" column and a "class/grade" column with weird options. How do we fill that?

It would be really helpful if you could clarify this. Have attached the screenshot of the form. Do let me know if something is not clear. :)

Love,
Lavanya

Hey,

We clarified the doubt about NLS degree being recognized as a qualifying law degree by the Law Society of England and Wales. The degree is not a qualifying law degree as it is not a part of the list of the qualifying law degree providers.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Best,
