Hey Guys,

PFA a list of London firms that people could possibly apply for, with the application deadlines as well as the sites on which you can formally apply to them. Please note, that as the RCC, we have a very limited role to play with regards these firms. They have their own application procedure, and you have to apply through the portals that they have created. They also do no need the vetting of your CV by us. Certain firms (Herbert Smith, AnO and Linklaters) have a specific Indian Internship plan, and contact us for the limited purpose of asking us for the rank list, as well as for infrastructural support during their interview stages. With respect to KWM, we have contacted them to ask them what process they wish to follow to grant internships to us. There are a bunch of other London law firms you could apply to, and you can find out about their application process by a simple google search. The table attached to this mail is just to help you out and serve as a starting point. Remember to keep a look out on the websites of all these firms to see when the application process starts and ends.

Also, a wikipedia link to help you in your search for London firms:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_largest_United_Kingdom-based_law_firms

Note: As regards London firms: Ano, HS and Linklaters should be your top priority with respect to applications, as these three firms have specific slots for Indians in their vacation schemes (6, if what I’ve been told is to be believed). The other firms don’t have any such “slots” for Indians specifically, meaning you will have a lower chance of getting into their vacation scheme. On the other hand, if you want to take the risk, you could possibly apply for  Training Contracts in some of these firms directly. Clifford Chance and Ashurst, for example, both have a history of picking up people for their Training Contract directly. Most firms will be recruiting Trainees (under a Training Contract) for 2017.

That said, best of luck with the applications people. :)

Regards

Sulakshan

Hi,

This is a reminder to keep checking the websites of the London firms mentioned and those of other firms you might be interested in. Some firms should have openings for applications coming up soon if precedent is relevant.

Cheers,
Gaganjyot
