RCC 2017

Hi guys,

This is in continuation of Nupur and Akshat's mail. There is nothing that prevents us from constituting an RCC right now. Do note that the RCC is not provided for in any official regulation or the SBA constitution. It is a group that a batch forms in order to expedite the process of getting jobs and better serve everyone. To that end, an immediate formation of an RCC would allow for the members to work in the June vacation and ensure wider access to more varied job opportunities. I suggest that we elect an RCC by early next week (tentatively Wed 27th). If someone has objections to the same, please say so.

[RCC NLSIU 2017]

Hi,

We're aware that the RCC is a group formed by the batch. We'd also like to remind you, Gagan, that we're presently the only two members of the class who are intimately acquainted with the functioning of the RCC. We've proposed this date keeping certain considerations in mind.
While we're okay with the 27th (or any other date), we proposed June because we're awaiting responses from firms we have been in contact with as RCC observers. We'd like to finish our correspondence with them and complete vetting CVs before we hand control over to RCC '17. Again, this is subject to your approval, Batch of 2017. Do let us know what you think. We'll be up with a poll shortly.
Also, yes, we have the freedom to decide when we make our RCC, but the rules of RCC '16 do apply until then for the sake of fair procedure. Please keep that in mind.

Oi, sorry about that. Didn't mean to show any disagreement. Just wanted to point out that the earlier an official RCC is constituted the better. I'm sure you can retain your roles in an informal capacity to finish those correspondences. My emphasis on how the batch controls the RCC is merely because of my fundamental position that this committee should remain as distant from the admin and faculty as convenient.
