Hi all,

I know time is very tight for most of you at the moment. These are
just some suggested readings you might want to look at, before or
after the discussion.

- H.L.A. Hart, The Concept of Law, Chapter X (You'll find this book in
the Jurisprudence section, on the top floor of the library)
- Judge Alvarez' dissenting opinion in the Corfu Channel Case (You can
get this off the website of the International Court of Justice,
www.icj-cij.org
- Rosslyn Higgins, International Law and the Avoidance, Containment
and Resolution of Disputes, General Course on Public International
Law, Chapter 1; Recueil Des Cours, 1991, Vol. 230. (You can find the
Recueil des Cours on the middle floor of the library. They are a set
of green, hardbound books).
- Ian Brownlie, International Law at the Fiftieth Anniversary of the
United Nations, General Course on Public International Law, pp. 21 -
36; 1995 Recueil Des Cours.

Please feel free to add anything you feel might be of interest to our
discussion.
