to NLS Public International Law Group
Hi all,
Before we get the course under way, I think that it would be a good
idea to have an introductory discussion on public international law in
general, and the structure of this course in particular. I suggest
that we have it on the evening of the 24th of August, as it is the
only possible free slot of time between the mid-terms and the
University Moot Round - I. Let me know if you'd like a different date
or time.
Things that I intend to cover (briefly) in the introductory session
(feel free to make any suggestions or modifications):
- How to approach the study of public international law, and how the
nature of public international law differs from the municipal law that
we are more accustomed to study
- The formal sources of public international law (only the basics)
- The best sources of *learning* public international law (books,
journals etc.)
- The structure and approach to the course - this is something we'll
all work out together
Regards
Gautam
