Dear Friends

NLP and TA Circle wishes you a very happy Republic Day and thanks you profusely for taking part in the Circle's monthly meeting on 19.01.2014 at Nahar Hall.

At the outset we apologize for the delay in sending out this mail. However, we have attached some additional resources based on the topics covered in the meeting for your perusal and use.

For those of you who missed out or walked in late:

In the first half of the session the "Stroke Exchange" was conducted where members rained compliments on each other.

Ms. V. P. Soshina then took us through the Swish Technique in NLP which is used to overcome negative habits and behaviours.

The Swish Technique is a pattern and technique created by Richard Bandler for changing your  thoughts. This technique also changes unwanted behaviours as thoughts create feelings and feelings create behaviours.  Each time you use the Swish pattern you are choosing to retrain your mind and your thinking from something negative to your new desired chosen behaviour and thought.

She explained how by using the Swish you create the ability to think positively, control your thoughts and 'respond', rather than 'react' to a stressful situation.
You create the  behaviors you want, and eliminate those you do not want.
The talk concluded with a demo.

In the second half of the session, Mr. Muthiah Ramanathan, Secretary of NLP & TA Circle, spoke at length on the topic " Human Being Vs. Being Human". Despite his jet-lag, having arrived from New Jersey at 3 in the morning, he quoted numerous examples and real life stories as he covered various aspects of the Bernian understanding of autonomy in TA and its components-awareness, spontaneity, and intimacy.

We have attached a document on the Swish Technique with this mail.
Additionally, here are some links to videos on the Swish Technique:

We hope you find the attachment and links useful.

Please do send us your feedback and mark your calendar for our next meeting on 23.02.2014.

We look forward to your continued patronage.

With warm regards
NLP and TA Circle Team
