Speaker Profile:
Mr.A.V.Ramanathan is at present a freelance trainer conducting training programs on topics related to HRD/Soft skills.
He is a Post-Graduate in Chemistry, holder of PG Diplomas in Business Administration, Human Resource Management and also in Training & Development. He is a life member of Indian Society for Training & Development, New Delhi (ISTD).
He has served in the teaching post in the Department of Chemistry, Madura College, Madurai for two years and then in the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Govt. of India for more than three decades in various capacities including Head, Laboratory, Heavy Water Plant (HWP), Tuticorin, Manager (HR) & Head (HRD), Heavy Water Board, Mumbai. As a trainer with passion and commitment, he has designed and conducted personality and soft skills development courses for employees of HWPs and various units of DAE all over India.
He is a Certified National Trainer of Junior Chamber International (JCI).
He has conducted more than 1000 Leadership/ Personality development courses so far for employees of various organizations, voluntary organizations, teachers and students of educational institutions and also family members in townships.
He is a regular contributor of articles on topics related to HRD/ social welfare in leading dailies and magazines.
His life mission is to create continuously positive change in himself and in people around him through learning, sharing and training.
TA & Feedback - Program objective & outline:
Feedback is a powerful mechanism that plays a vital role in Human Resource Development. Feedback is the most widely used as well as misused tool in interpersonal relations.Feedback is an essential skill used in various HRD processes like coaching, counseling, mentoring and training and all these involve exchange of strokes.The wonderful tool used for effective communication and interpersonal relations, ‘Transactional Analysis’ can be applied well for making the process of stroking and feedback effective. Organizations, families and individuals are benefited, if we all, despite our busy schedule in this speedy life, can pay attention to human needs through effective stroking and feedback.
The objective of the short course titled, ‘TA & Feedback’ is to spread the awareness among members about the art of stroking and feedback and the ways of enhancing it by the application of TA.The course deals with guidelines for giving and receiving feedback and also for handling positive and negative feedback constructively.
