Injunctions in Transactional Analysis:

Eric Berne said people are born princes and princesses and their parents turn them into frogs. What this means is that people are basically OK but they are in difficulty only because their parents have placed damaging injunctions on them.

Injunctions are the simple commands which parents make over and over, such as "Don't think," "Don't ask for anything," "Don't bother me," "Don't be assertive," "Don't be selfish," "Don't get too smart," etc.

TA identifies TWELVE key injunctions which people commonly build into their life scripts.  They are messages which are absorbed as children and are script building blocks. They are mainly non-verbal messages and are what the child worked out for itself as a result of its experience with parent figures.

TA enthusiasts, V. Karthik and Swarna will take you on an exploratory journey through the world of Injunctions, its effect on the life-script and the permissions necessary to overcome it.

Rewiring the memory of Negative Experiences:

As humans almost all of us undergo some negative experiences during the course of our lives.

Whenever we think of these experiences, we get overwhelmed by negative feelings which sap our energy.

NLP has some simple, yet powerful tools to decrease the power that unpleasant memories hold over our lives.

Ms Ananthi Karthic, a counselling psychologist, will take us through these techniques in an experiential presentation.
