Strange bug

I'm using NetGamers for a lot of my IRC'ing needs, and also a privately
run ircnet. Recently I discovered a strange thing. The private net
replaced the IRCds with VIAGRA IRCd ( Viagara Ircd is based on
Bahamut. the Dalnet ircd) while NetGamers use IRCu I think.

Anyway... All of a sudden the following appeared in a channel on the
private net:

[01:41:22] <Peace> ACTION Bites Bob *

At first, I thought this was a bug in Peaces client (which I'm told is
mIRC 5.91), but when I pointed it out, a unanimous channel told me I was
the only one who didn't see this as a regular ACTION. I then got Peace
to do an action on a channel in NetGamers and got this:

[01:58:30] * Peace goes running through the streets waving her arms in
the street screaming 'i hate college !!!!!' *

This seems weird to me. I didn't think the servers did anything besides
pass the messages on.. but here something is different...

Other people can do ACTIONs on the private net without problems, it's
only Peace who results in this...


Anyone have any clue what's going on here? Is it XChat that is doing
something weird, or is it simply another strange mIRC thing that nobody
else notices because they're all using mIRC? ..and why is the server
getting involved in this? :)
