Notify in active tab (fwd)

Subject: Notify in active tab

Hello

I'm usually on several networks, and at times I need to know when
someone comes online. I can use notify for this, except that a notify
only shows up in a tab belonging to the network originating the notify.

Is there any way to get it to the active tab, regardless of network?
