Dear Listmates:

We have just returned from an amazing Hugfest! We had terrific speakers and updates from our researchers. Dr. Scott Scheuttze from University of Michigan spoke of the findings at the University of Michigan toward LMS research and advancement. Bob Dauchy and Dr. Lulu Mao provided updates on the advancements in Melatonin research on LMS cells and the effects on light on cellular healing. Dr. Matt van de Rijn updated the attendees on the work at Stanford University and how research is moving quickly toward treatments!
We also learned about diagnostic radiology from Dr. Mitch Achee from Lakewood, CO.

There was great music from Charlie Lustman - Made Me Nuclear - http://www.mademenuclear.com/home.html

There was sharing, caring and a great time remembering those who have gone before us.

LMS research is rapidly heading out of the lab of slides and microscopes and toward real treatments that we will live to see!

How can you help research turn into treatments of LMS? Donate tissue!

We were able to share stories of diagnosis, surgery and survival. Hugfest was tears, laughs, education and of course.........HUGS!!

It was a wonderful event that all should try to attend next year!

Hugs & prayers,
