Hello Nevada Library Association network,
UNLV has a job opening for a tenure-track position in Special Collections and Archives and I'd appreciate it if you would spread the word to qualified candidates.
I welcome any questions about the position or working at UNLV.
UNLV University Libraries seeks nominations and applications for an innovative and collaborative tenure-track/tenured faculty member to serve as the Head of Special Collections Technical Services. Reporting to the Director of Special Collections and Archives (SCA), the Head of Special Collections Technical Services is a key
managerial position within the division and provides strategic direction, leadership, and expertise in accessioning, arranging, describing, cataloging, and preserving rare books, manuscript collections, and archives material in all formats. The Head of Special Collections Technical Services oversees the SCA's accessioning, arrangement and description, collection management, and conservation programs and directly supervises 3-4 FTE, including both faculty and classified employees. The position leads the planning, development, implementation, promotion, and assessment of the services provided for collections, ensuring an integrated and coordinated approach to accessioning, processing, and preservation of material in line with SCA and UNLV
Libraries priorities. They will oversee development of standards, policies, and procedures for all technical services programs and projects.
Thank you!
